An ellipsis is a space or pause in which what is not seen or heard is understood from the context. This hand-cast bronze was inspired by the artists' home upon a wild grassland, where in autumn the grass heads bow under the weight of the morning dew. Beneath the water it rests on legs of stainless steel bar set into cast bronze feet. The patina is created through a mix of liver of sulphide, cupric nitrate, and ferric nitrate. The water feature is powered by a submersible pump through a 15mm transparent pipe. Edition: /11 Dimensions: 1.8m x 1m Price: R 85 000 |

The sound of water moving from one place to another to another brings the sculpture to life. Its adds a dynamic element to its installation space, at once tranquil and energizing. The long elegant arcs emphasize the fluidity of the water's journey.
