When Claire originally started this piece, she never intended it to be a water feature. She left it out on a bench in the studio, and a pigeon knocked it to the floor, breaking a shard out. It then gathered dust for over a year. One Friday, at the end of the day, Claire and Seth were tired of doing sensible work, and Claire brought this piece into the gallery where we were testing another water feature. Before the sun set that day, this sculpture had found its flow, and so had we. The fish isn't fighting the current, but rather luxuriating in the beauty of the water and the light.
